The bus service is handy and reliable, and there is a bus stop in the main piazza of Settignano less than 50 yards from the apartment. The small village of Settignano is famous for being the town of poet Gabriele D’Annunzio. There are general shops, a pharmacy, post office, outdoor cafes and a wonderful restaurant/pizzeria called “La Capponcina” which is also the name of the Poet’s home, now a museum.
