On a lovely country road leading away from the hill town of Settignano. At the edge of Florence, it has the advantage of being quiet and peaceful, yet within a fifteen-minute car ride from the centre of town. The bus service is handy and reliable, and there is a bus stop in the main piazza of Settignano less than one km. from the house. The small village of Settignano is famous for being the town of Gabriele D’Annunzio. In the village of Settignano there are general shops, a pharmacy, outdoor cafes and a wonderful restaurant/pizzeria called “la Capponcina” which is also the name of the Poet’s home, now a museum.
Description:
The apartment is located on the grounds of a magnificent villa, begun in 1458 and completed in the 1600’s, the villa overlooks Florence, and its exquisite Renaissance gardens are world-renowned and very well documented. The owners have created 3 apartments, one is next to where they keep the lemon trees, called the “Limonaia”: the other two are in another of the outlying properties, and are called “Neptune” (being near the fountain of Neptune), and the third apartment is “La Cappella” as it once was the chapel. Each apartment has a separate entrance.
The Cappella apartment measures approx. 180 sq. mts. (approx 1800 sq.ft) and located on 2 levels. The ground floor consists of:

FURNISHINGS:
This apartment has been tastefully furnished with a mixture of modern and traditional Tuscan furniture, there are terracotta floors and wooden beam ceilings.
AMENTITIES:
Washing machine, dishwasher, air-conditioning, and car spaces in the garden. The heating is autonomous and maybe turned on and off at the clients discretion. Outdoor furniture may be set up on the lawn in front of the apartment. The shared pool with another 2 apartments, 5 minutes up a country lane, is open to use by Capella tenants.
Positive aspects:
Wonderful location, beautiful views from the upper floor windows, sunny aspect, wonderful country roads for jogging, car space, close to a good municipal bus line (no. 10) between Settignano and Florence, historic gardens.
Negative aspects:
The Villa gardens are open to the public from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. It is possible that people visiting the Villa may stroll past the apartment, one must walk to the shared pool, there is 300m away. walk to the bus, the road to the villa is narrow.

Daily housekeeping service, change of bed linens once per week, bath linens twice per week, final cleaning fee, use of swimming pool at 300m.
