Location: 

Via del Rossellino is a lovely country road leading away from the hill town of Settignano.  Located on the edge of Florence, it has the advantage of being quiet and peaceful, yet within a fifteen-minute car ride from the centre of town. The bus service is handy and reliable, and there is a bus stop in the main piazza of Settignano less than one km. from the house. This small village is famous for being the town of Gabriele D’Annunzio; in Settignano there are general shops, a pharmacy, outdoor cafes and a wonderful restaurant/pizzeria called “la Capponcina” which is also the name of the poet’s home, which is now a museum.
 

Description: 
The Casa Sei is one of 3 houses on this property.  It measures approx. 150 square meters, and is nestled into the hillside on 2 levels.

consists of:
Living room/kitchen (with dining area table for 6 persons, working fireplace)
3 double bedrooms 
3 en-suite bathrooms (shower and tub)
3 walk-in closet
Laundry room
Conservatory and lower garden
Upper garden and pergola with outdoor table and chairs

There are 14 steps between the upper and lower levels.

The house has been tastefully renovated and personally furnished by the owner with a mixture of modern and traditional Tuscan furniture. There are tile floors throughout, wood-beam ceiling in the living area, and modern bathrooms with large showers and antique style tubs.

Casa Sei is supplied with: parking in the designated parking area, heating, air conditioning, alarm system, safe, fireplace, dishwasher, medium-sized refrigerator, microwave oven, washing machine, iron, hair dryer, and Internet access, a rechargable mobile phone can be made available.
Kitchenware and linens are provided.  The heating is autonomous and maybe turned on and off at the clients discretion.  Outdoor furniture is set up on the lawn.  There is a shared pool.
 
Maximum 6 persons.

This house can be combined with the other houses on the property - “Casa Due” and “Casa Quattro” to sleep a total of 12 persons.

No pets are allowed.

Positive aspects: 
Kind and enthusiastic owner who lives on the property, wonderful location within walking distance to Settignano, country views, sunny, pool, country roads for jogging, car parking, close to a good municipal bus line (no. 10) between Settignano and Florence.

Negative aspects: 
It is possible that people staying in the other properties may stroll past, narrow road from Settignano to the property, no oven, owner lives on the property, owner prefers not to host pets.

Our personal opinion: 

Excellent location with a wonderful ambience.


Included: 
Air conditioning, heating, final cleaning, high speed internet,
housekeeping service everyday except Sundays and holidays.
Bed linens are changed on Satudays, bath linens on Wednesdays and Saturdays.


Not included: 
Additional housekeeping service, personal laundry, cooking, cooking classes (available on site)
