Via di Vacciano is a lovely road winding up from the village of Ponte a Ema. Located on the edge of Florence, it has the advantage of being in the country, yet within a fifteen-minute car ride from the centre of town, and even less to the A1 autostrada entrance. In the village of Ponte a Ema there are general shops, pharmacy, outdoor cafes and the elementary campus of the International School.

Description: 
The very recently renovated 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom “Diletta” apartment measures approx. 300 square meters and is one of about six dwellings on this 15th century estate. It is located on the first and second floors, accessed up a staircase of 27 steps where one enters into one of two living rooms (both with working fireplaces, one with a sofa bed), a dining room (table for 8), a kitchen with marble counter top and two bathrooms.

The second floor consists of a bedroom/study located over the kitchen, and a separate staircase (22 steps) leading up to the master bedroom (double or two twin beds) and bathroom (Jacuzzi bath/shower), a single bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower), and a bedroom (2 twins) with ensuite bathroom (tub). There is additional attic storage space.

This sunny apartment is furnished with a mix of modern and antiques and is supplied with a washing machine, dryer, alarm system, dishwasher, air conditioning in the bedrooms, television, telephone, and high speed internet, satellite TV is available upon request to local supplier.

There is a gated entrance, garden and parking area shared with one other apartment. Access to the estate shared pool may be available on request.

Positive aspects: 
nice light from numerous windows, a wonderful location for visiting Florence and attending the International School.

Negative aspects: 
The autostrada is less than a mile from the home, mostly unseen, though some noise may filter up the hill. Some bathrooms do not have windows.
