Location: 
Set in the heart of the historic and beautiful Chianti countryside, these stone houses are located exactly between Greve and Panzano-in-Chianti, on a sloping hillside overlooking vineyards. Gothic Siena is 40 kilometres and Florence approx. 30 kilometres from the property. This location is perfectly located for day trips to either city, or the smaller Tuscan jewels like the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano or the walled town of Monteriggioni (with two wonderful restaurants). Arezzo, Cortona and Lucca are all within about an hour drive. The A1 autostrada linking Florence and Rome is approx. 20 km. from the property, with less than a 3 hour drive to Rome.

The main shopping centre for the area is Greve, located 3.5 kilometres from the house. Greve has stores, numerous restaurants, wine bars, fruit and vegetable shops, banks, a post office, pharmacy etc. Every Saturday there is a busy outdoor market held in the main square.

Description: 
The property is set in the midst of wine and olive oil producing estates and has commanding views of vineyards all the way up the hill towards the town of Panzano.

An unpaved road (strada bianca) of approx. 1.5 km. leads to the 16th century stone farmhouses which have very recently been totally restored with a careful hand, leaving the original architecture and rustic touches visible. The property consists 3 seperate houses.

"Villa", on 2 levels, measures approx. 330 sq.mts.(approx. 3550 sq.ft) and consists of:

FURNISHINGS:
The furnishings are a mixture of modern and antiques. There are wood beam ceilings and terra cotta floors throughout.

AMENITIES:
Satellite TV, air condtion in all bedrooms and gym, internet connection, DVD, ipod dockstation, safe, gym and hamman, 4 mountain bikes, barbecues, washing machines, dishwashers, telephones, alarm system,  linens, kitchenware and gas heating. Firewood is available.

Positive aspects: 
Location, isolated in a pleasant way, lovely views and tastefully furnished plus the gym and pool.

Negative aspects: 
Unpaved country access road (thank goodness very short!!), the houses are close together,  the living and TV rooms in Villa are not large.

Our personal opinion: 
“An appealing property in a very interesting location (near two wonderful small towns) peaceful area with the best views over the surrounding vineyards, one can pluck the grapes from the pool!!!”

Included: 
3 hours of maid service per day, midweek linen and towel change, welcome basket, utilities, internet connection, final cleaning.  Pool and garden maintenance.

Not included: 
Telephone expenses, heating, food and beverages, breakfast catering service Euro 16 per person.
