Location: 
This property is on the western side of Florence following the river Arno, approx. 30 minutes drive from the historic centre of Florence perched on top of a hill. The closest large town is Pontassieve  which has all the amenities: restaurants, post office, boutiques, food shops, super markets, pharmacies and a museum. This thriving town is well serviced by trains (20 mins) and buses (a bit longer) going to and from Florence.

Description: 
This property is part of hamlet dating back to approx. 11th century, although it is thought to have been a strong hold for the Etruscans even before this date. It has hosted illustrious visitors over such a history including Rossini and more recently Enrico Firmi.  The castle has been restored and is part of a working farm producing wine and olive oil. There is a small road that runs through the middle of the hamlet providing access to both the “Castello” and other homes and warehouses.  Car parking is outdoors and is behind the hamlet.

 

This apartment is on three levels and consists of:

The property has a swimming pool (6 mts x 12 mts) partly covered, with changing room, bathroom and shower. Enclosed garden with table ( for 14 people) and chairs for “al fresco” dining. Produce from the farm (wines olive oil, honey etc) may be purchased directly from the owner.

Upon request a cook is available for all meals (typical Tuscan dinner with table service Euro 40.00 per person) and wine tasting and olive oil tasting may be arranged.

Not included: 
extra daily cleaning, heating, gas and telephone charges, beverages, final cleaning and laundry charge Euro 45.00 per person (minimum Euro 450.00), cooking, baby sitter, domestic help, personal laundry, extra change of linen, towels, pool towels, local food service and delivery,
