Location: 
Via Simone Mosca is a lovely road leading away from the hill town of Settignano.  Located on the edge of Florence, it has the advantage of being quiet and peaceful, yet within a fifteen-minute car ride from the centre of town. The bus service is handy and reliable, and there is a bus stop in the main piazza of Settignano less than one km. from the house. The small village of Settignano is famous for being the town of Gabriele D’Annunzio. In the village of Settignano there are general shops, pharmacy, outdoor cafes and a wonderful restaurant/pizzeria called “la Capponcina” which is also the name of the Poet’s home, now a museum.

This apartment is just 20 meters away from the main piazza of Settignano, on the 1st floor (26 steps), measures approx. 110 sq. mts. (1200 sq. ft.) and consists of:

Traditional furnishings, terracotta floors, high ceilings, built in kitchen with tiled wall and wooden cabinets, closed off from dining room with sliding door, tiled bathrooms, fabric bed headboard.

Satellite TV, washing machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher, air-conditioning, safe, internet connection, autonomous gas heating, kitchen ware, linens, and a safe.  A telephone and high speed internet line can be made available for long term rentals.

Positive aspects: 
Wonderful location,  wonderful country roads for jogging, air conditioning, close to a good municipal bus line (no. 10) between Settignano and Florence.

Negative aspects: 
Bedrooms are on the side of the road, although the road has limited traffic (only residents).  No outdoor space. The bathrooms have no windows, and one bathroom is significantly smaller than the other two.

Our personal opinion: 
"Lovely location handy to restaurants, the piazza of settignano, and good bus service.  It`s a city apartment located in a small town atmosphere."
